The eLeSI training results from a European Project (2013-2015).
The Foundation Les Amis de l’Atelier (France) was in charge of its coordination.
The contents of the training were elaborated by 3 European Universities: the INS HEA, the University of Chester and the University of Mons.
The association ‘Miwadagbé’ and ‘Alternativa 2003’ collaborated with the elaboration of study cases for the modules.
The University of Fribourg collaborated as an associated partner providing its expertise and advise for the elaboration of the training.
The Fondation des Amis de l’Atelier accompanies more than 2000 children and adults with disabilities within its 60 centres and services.
The University of Chester, whose project team is specialized in health and support of people with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders, includes 15 000 students and whose aims include the pursuit of excellence and innovation, openness and inclusiveness.

The INS HEA, as Higher Education Centre, is a research institute working for the education, schooling and training of groups with special educational needs.
The ALTERNATIVA 2003 Association’s mission is to develop services aiming for the improvement of life quality for people with disabilities and favouring their social inclusion.
Association of parents and friends for the inclusion of people living with an intellectual impairment and/or mental disorders in Benin, Miwadagbé aims for a better life condition for these persons with facilitating their integration, in order to achieve a real and sustainable human development.
The Special Education Department and the Institute of Special Education, depending of the Department, are responsible for research and theoretical and practical training in special education.
